InnerScope Browser Extension

The short version

InnerScope is local-first by design. It has no account, server, analytics, or telemetry. Inspected page data and captured network traffic stay in your browser profile unless you intentionally copy, export, replay, or pass information to a third-party tool.

Information InnerScope accesses

When you use a feature, InnerScope may access the active page’s URL, title, DOM, CSS rules and computed styles, screenshots, console messages, page errors, design tokens, accessibility information, and network activity. Network activity can include request and response URLs, methods, headers, bodies, cookies, timing, WebSocket frames, server-sent events, and GraphQL operation details.

This access is required to provide the inspection, editing, capture, replay, breakpoint, mocking, rewriting, comparison, and export actions you request.

Local storage and retention

InnerScope stores captured sessions and extension data in your browser profile using chrome.storage.local. This can include preferences, favorites, saved filters, rules, captured traffic, and session backups. DesignForever does not receive or retain this data. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored data.

Secrets and sensitive information

Network traffic may contain sensitive information such as authorization headers, cookies, access tokens, personal data, or request bodies. Copy options that include authorization headers and cookies are disabled by default. Review copied or exported content before sharing it, and do not enable secret-including options unless necessary.

Replay, mocks, and page changes

InnerScope can edit page styles, replay requests using the page’s existing cookies and session, hold or drop requests, return synthetic responses, rewrite traffic, and inject delays or errors. These actions occur locally at your direction but can affect the page or service you are using. Use them only on systems and accounts you are authorized to test.

Optional InnerScope Bridge

InnerScope Bridge is optional software that runs on your computer and connects InnerScope to a compatible MCP client. While connected, requested page information can be sent to the AI or developer tool you configured. That tool or its provider may process or retain the information under its own privacy policy. Closing the side panel or stopping Bridge ends the connection.

Data sharing and sale

DesignForever does not sell or rent information accessed by InnerScope. InnerScope does not transfer inspected page contents or captured network traffic to DesignForever servers. Information reaches another service only when you direct an export, copy or Bridge interaction to a third-party tool, or when disclosure is required by law.

Security

No software can guarantee absolute security. Keep InnerScope, your browser, and optional Bridge dependencies updated. Treat HAR files, session backups, request copies, and captured bodies as potentially sensitive, and store or share them accordingly.

Children’s privacy

InnerScope is a developer tool and is not directed to children under 13. DesignForever does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through InnerScope.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when InnerScope’s features or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version.
